Enabling Browser Push Notifications

Receive push notifications from your browser whenever you are notified in MoonRoom!

👉 Step 1: Enabling notifications in MoonRoom

  1. While logged in on Moonroom.com click your profile picture in the bottom left hand corner.

  2. Then click “Notifications"

  3. Check the notification types you would like to receive. See more on editing your Notification preferences.

👉 Step 2: Enabling notifications on your system

The second step if you are not receiving browser push notifications is to make sure your your browser has permission within your system to display the notifications.

Mac OS

  1. Open System Preferences on your Mac.

  2. Click on "Notifications."

  3. Find your browser which you want to allow notifications and click on it.

  4. Turn on the toggle switch next to "Allow Notifications" to enable notifications for the app.

Windows 11:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Click on "System"

  3. Toggle notifications on

  4. Toggle notifications on for your browser

👉 Step 3: Enabling notification in your browser

When first logging into MoonRoom, you should receive a prompt asking if you want to allow notifications. If you do receive this prompt and click allow, you are all done! If you did not receive the prompt or accidentally clicked "deny" you can follow the steps below for your browser.

Chrome:

  1. While on MoonRoom.com, click the "lock icon 🔒" on the left side of the address bar

  2. Toggle the "notification" bar

  3. If no notification bar is show, click "site settings" scroll down to "notifications" and set to allow

Firefox:

  1. While on MoonRoom.com, click the "lock icon 🔒" on the left side of the address bar (Firefox should ask from here if you would like to enable notifications for MoonRoom if not move to step 2)

  2. Click the "connection secure" button

  3. Click "more information"

  4. Click the "Permissions" tab

  5. Scroll to "Send Notifications" and click "allow"

Edge:

  1. While on MoonRoom.com, click the "lock icon 🔒" on the left side of the address bar

  2. (Edge should ask from here if you would like to enable notifications for MoonRoom if not move to step 2)

  3. Click "Permissions for this site"

  4. Scroll to "notifications" and select "allow"

Safari:

Unfortunately Safari does not support browser push notifications...come on Apple! 😡 We will be releasing a stand-alone desktop app for both Mac OS and Windows soon. 😊
