Why is my payment failing?

Find out why your payments for your MoonRoom subscription are failing.

☝️ First thing’s first...

Make sure to Update your Payment Method in your MoonRoom account. Once you have updated your payment, our system will automatically retry the charge a few more times over the next 7 days before the subscription is ultimately cancelled.

⚠️ Possible Failure Reasons:

🔴 generic_decline

The payment has failed due to the bank declining the charge. Please contact your card issuer for more information.

🔴 insufficient_funds

The payment has failed due to insufficient funds in your card’s account balance. If you have recently added funds, it may take a few days before these funds become available.

🔴 pickup_card

The card on file has been reported as lost or stolen. Contact your card issuer to obtain a new card. Once you have activated your new card, update the payment method in your MoonRoom account.

🔴 lost_card

The card on file has been reported as lost or stolen. Contact your card issuer to obtain a new card. Once you have activated your new card, update the payment method in your MoonRoom account.

🔴 invalid_cvc

The CVC (security code) entered when adding your card is incorrect or cannot be verified. Ensure that the CVC was entered correctly and that the billing address and zip code entered matches what is on file for that card.

🔴 do_not_honor

The payment has failed due to the bank declining the charge. Please contact your card issuer for more information.
